MSU Football Tailgate:
APA hosted a tailgate event at the MSU football game on September 14th. The weather was incredible where our members could drop by to meet the executive board & area representatives, grab a quick bit to eat and some snacks.
Why does APA host a tailgate event each year? This is a great opportunity for students, alumni, members, prospective members and people in the community to learn about unions at MSU. Did you know APA is the largest union on campus? We have 3000 people covered under our collective bargaining agreement. Having APA participate and be visible to the public helps increase understanding of why organized labor is a critical part of higher education services provided to students, faculty and staff.
MSU Homecoming Parade:
APA again walked in the MSU Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 18th handing out candy along the route and carrying our banner. A group of APA members, executive board & area representatives along with family and friends participated during the amazing fall weather event. The cheers from the crowd yelling, “APA, that’s my union!” what a proud moment and opportunity for the community to learn more about APA and unions at MSU.
